An ode to the journey

Small steps, larger leaps and great bounds.

There are no simple beginnings, middles and ends in this life, only stories that we lay over the top of moments, moulding them in our hands, to our will. Which journey are you on? An artistic endeavour, perhaps, that meanders and circuits around its subject before nailing down its expression. Or maybe a physical travail; staggered, hot and arduous, through high water and blazing sun. More difficult still might be to follow the winding path into yourself, the way forward lit by small, flickering lights — intuition, or memory, or desire. This issue will track how women travel from one place to another, through time, through place, and what they learned along the way.
